To-do List for Podiatry Visits

Whether you see us monthly or are preparing for your first visit, there are things you can do before a podiatry appointment. By planning ahead, it allows for both you and your podiatrist to have a conversation that covers your needs. It happens to us all: We arrive in the doctor’s office, and we forget a detail or two that was very important. From medication side effects to the random pain a few weeks ago, all these details matter during the conversation.

We encourage patients to spend a few moments to plan for their next visit. Follow along during the blog, and we’ll show you that it can be as easy as 1, 2, 3.

PodiatryCare, PC and the Heel Pain Center see a variety of patients throughout the day, and the visits are for various reasons. Our preparation approach requires this consideration. Follow these helpful tips as you plan your next stop at our office.

1. Ask about the pros and cons

If you have been visiting us for a while, use our appointment time to give us an update on treatment or a product. What is working for you? Is there a recommendation that has been unhelpful? From bunion pads to fungal toenail treatments, let’s talk about progress. Please share your honest opinion. It helps us create the best treatment plan.

2. Share problem areas

For some people, it’s the recurring ingrown toenail. Other patients may finally be ready to schedule surgery for their progressive toe deformity. What’s your concern? Whether you have been struggling with a condition for a while or are new to it, we’re ready to listen.

3. Start the prevention talk

Did you know that we’re here to help you prevent conditions, too? If you have diabetes, for example, we know the common complications that can come along. Share your health history with us. Together, we’ll work to prevent complications that can impact your foot and ankle health.

We make it easy to plan your next visit. We hope that the recommendations above help to create a calm environment for starting the conversation. We’re on the same team, and we care for you and your family. See you soon!
